We’re looking for a Data Scientist to join our early-stage team and take ownership of our data strategy. As our first data hire, you’ll have a significant responsibility to establish and scale data infrastructure, policies and products. We’re a small, fast-growing, and collaborative team looking for someone to co-craft our product and help to grow the business 3X year on year. You’ll report directly to our Founders Serkan Yuksel & Janice Sousa.

🎯 What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Business, Marketing or a quantitative field like Economics, Mathematics or Statistics)
• At least 1 year of experience in marketing analytics or database marketing
• Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g. Python), and proficient in interpreting JavaScript, jQuery
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills (ability to code macros in VBA is considered an asset)
• Proven ability to apply findings to business problems to lift revenue and profits
• Knowledge of web analytics packages (e.g. Omniture, Core metrics or Google Analytics)

💪 What you will do:

• Find, organise and label data
• Design, develop, test, advocate and build predictive models and segmentations
• Identify and develop long-term processes, frameworks, tools, methods and standards
• Coordinate with different functional teams to implement data engineering, models and monitor outcomes
• Develop experimental design approaches to validate findings or test hypotheses
• Diagnose and resolve predictive/analytical model performance issues, while monitoring system performance and implementation of efficiency improvements
• Develop analytical solutions and make recommendations based on an understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder needs
• Apply scripting/programming skills to assemble various types of source data (unstructured, semi-structured, and structured) into well-prepared data sets with multiple levels of granularities (e.g., demographics, customers, products, transactions)
• Summarize statistical findings, draw conclusions, and present actionable business recommendations
• Perform experimental design approaches to validate findings or test hypotheses
• Support the development of tools and deliver training for data analytics and AI
